Liu Qiangdong: Electronic commerce legislation provides important guarantees for the healthy development of the sector

Liu Qiangdong, CEO of JD.com Inc, a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, the nation's top political advisory body, pointed out that e-commerce has an indispensable role in powering the development of the domestic retail industry, while existing problems such as fake and smuggled goods remain and restrict the development of the sector.

From a long-term perspective, to launch related regulations and legislation in the e-commerce sector is a must-have to propelling the industry's development.
