FAW Volkswagen: 3 millionth car is a new Golf

Volkswagen's sixth-generation Golf rolled off the assembly line at the German carmaker's joint venture with FAW Corp on Aug 14. It was the 3 millionth vehicle made by joint venture FAW Volkswagen since it began production in 1991. The latest Golf, which made its global premiere last September at the Frankfurt Motor Show, will go on sale in China in October. FAW Volkswagen expects the locally made Golf, which meets international standards in all fields, to be a big hit in China's growing car market.
