Online couples not keen on meeting
(China Daily)
Updated: 2006-08-10 09:07 Over half the netizens involved in cyber marriages dare not go on a real date with their affections, a survey about the virtual marriage in China showed. Over 47 per cent of the virtual couples regarded the state of their affection as key factor for them to come to a real wedding. Unfortunately, such virtual romance usually comes to an end once the couples meet outside the Internet. Of the 100,000 people surveyed in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou by www.yeeyoo.com last week, 30 per cent wanted to find romance online for the lack of necessary opportunities in a real world or because it was the only way they could tie the knot.
