Hen electrocuted, causes blackout

Updated: 2006-08-24 08:48 Over 50 stores in downtown Nanchang of Jiangxi Province experienced a blackout on Sunday morning when a hen perched on a high-tension wire and caused a short circuit. An onlooker said he heard a loud noise from a transformer and then a flame emerged. All stores in the area had a power off for over two hours.
