Many seek to buy trees that look like people

A special human-shaped pair of conjoined twin trees attracted many curious people in an agricultural bazaar in Haikou, Hainan Province, on Thursday.

The special trees include a "male tree" and a "female tree" that have all the physical characteristics of a man and a woman.

Owner Wang Cheng said he found the special trees in a local mountain area early this year and moved them to his own courtyard. Wang refused to sell the lifelike trees at a price of 200 yuan (US$25) that many pedestrians offered, asking for at least 400 yuan (US$50).
