Man breaks phone but saves 2 boys

A retired policeman in Wendeng, Shandong Province, saved two boys who accidentally fell into the river while playing along the riverbank.

On hearing a scream, Li Duanguo jumped into the water, grabbed one boy who was still nearby and lifted him onto the bank. Then Li swam to reach the other boy.

In the process, Li forgot to remove his clothes, and his mobile phone was damaged. But when the parents of the two boys offered him 1,000 yuan (US$125) as compensation for the phone, Li refused to accept.
