Oxen snarl traffic by grazing on roadway

Five oxen caused chaos on a road in a suburb of Nanjing on Sunday morning after freeing themselves of their reins and walking in a row down the road.

Zhou spotted the oxen walking on the road at 5 am and reported the matter to police. The oxen would walk on the roadside when cars approached and frequently entered a greenbelt in the middle of road, chewing flowers and trees.

Police hastened to the spot and arranged for some staff to keep them off the road. Hours later, the owners finally appeared, saying they had been looking for the oxen all night.
