(China Daily)
Updated: 2006-10-26 08:58 An elderly sleepwalker in Qingdao of Shandong Province has returned home safely with the help of police after he walked more than 30 kilometres away from his home, carrying a quilt, on Sunday night. Jiao was found sitting on a roadside in Jiaonan, shaking from the cold, early Monday morning. He told police that he only remembered sleeping at home in Huangdao District, more than 30 kilometres away, and had no idea how he had got there. As he didn't remember the details of his home address, it took local police several hours to get in contact with Jiao's daughter. According to his daughter, Jiao has frequently disappeared around midnight over the past three years. Every time he returned home days later with the help of warm-hearted people.
