One dead, six missing in mined-out area collapse

HOHHOT -- One was confirmed dead and six missing after a mined-out area collapsed in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, local work safety watchdog said early Wednesday.

Three rooms with seven people inside fell into the collapsed mined-out area in Guyang County, Baotou City in the early hours Wednesday, the Baotou City Work Safety Administration told Xinhua.

Rescuers have found one body and are searching the remaining six.
