Obscene language counts as sexual harassment

Updated: 2008-07-03 14:33 An amendment to legislation regarding the protection of women's rights, stipulating that obscene language constitutes sexual harassment, has been made in Yunnan province. The amendment includes verbal abuse along with written texts and pornographic images or pictures of women, as constituting sexual harassment of women. The amendment also calls for the setting up of crisis centers for women who are regularly subjected to domestic violence. (Metropolis Times) |
