Vice President meets with HKSAR chief executive

HONG KONG   -- Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping met with Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Donald Tsang here Sunday morning.

Xi arrived in Hong Kong Sunday morning from Shenzhen on a three-day inspection tour.

It was Xi's first visit to Hong Kong since he assumed the office of Chinese Vice President in March 2008.

Xi is scheduled to inspect the equestrian events venues for the 2008 Beijing Olympics and Paralympics to get first-hand information about Hong Kong's preparations for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
