Three dead, 4 injured in south China wall collapse

NANNING -- Three workers died and another four were injured when a retaining wall collapsed at a construction site in southern China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on Tuesday morning, a local official said.

The accident occurred at about 9:45 a.m. after the wall collapsed at the Labor Building, which was under construction in downtown Laibin City, a municipal work safety department official said.

The injured were still being treated in hospitals, he said.

All construction projects in the city were ordered to suspend work to examine safety risk

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
