Updated: 2008-10-31 16:30 ISLAMABAD -- The Red Cross Society of China (RCSC) on Friday donated $50,000 to Pakistan's earthquake victims, which have amounted to more than 300 in northern part of southwestern Balochistan province.
Chinese ambassador to Pakistan Luo Zhaohui presented a check of $50,000 to Saeed Ahmed Qureshi, chairman of the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS). Pakistan has offered much help to China when a major earthquake hit southwestern China in May, and China is just doing the same thing, said Luo. The Chinese government on Thursday donated $one million to Pakistan. Reports said that the death toll from Wednesday's earthquake in Pakistan's Balochistan province has crossed 300.
