Singles supermarket to open in Pearl River Delta

The biggest "supermarket of single persons" in the Pearl River Delta will be opened in Foshan's Shunde district, Guangdong province, tomorrow, a so-called "day of bachelors".

Organizers are planning to build the special supermarket into a permanent place for match making.

Located in a local scenic spot, the supermarket offers a special booth to each applicant.

In addition to photos, booth will exhibit personal data, including name, age, companies, marital status, income, interest, habit, academic background and so on.

Exhibits will last a year, but exhibitors can apply for a 12-month extension to continue displaying personal data in the supermarket if they fail to find a partner.

Administrators will also organize different kinds of events and parties to help people make friends and seek spouses.
