Scholarships awarded to future leaders

Updated: 2008-11-26 18:40 The third annual China Future Leadership (CFL) project scholarship award ceremony was held at Peking University on November 25. Students, professors and parents of the award-winning CFL delegates attended the international leadership exchange program on Tuesday.
CFL is an exchange program aimed at fostering an amicable relationship between Chinese students and top universities in the United States and the United Kingdom. Top students selected from 50 Chinese universities had the chance to communicate with professors and students in an annual nationwide touring forum. They were joined by others from such internationally high-ranking universities as Harvard, Columbia, Yale, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Stanford, Oxford and Cambridge. "This project is a rare privilege for Chinese students to further their studies overseas," said Kenneth Tsang, Chairman of the CFL project in his presentation entitled, "Great Leadership -- An Inspiration". Zhang Ying from Peking University, winner of the second prize said, "The CFL project broadened my horizon and inspired me to take different perspectives when addressing issues." According to Frank Ge, Managing Director of Boya Elite International, the scholarship award is part of the overall driving strategy of CFL to motivate students in their pursuit of knowledge and learning.
