Community helps struggling quintuplets

Hundreds of people gathered in a square in Anqing, Anhui province, recently to celebrate the second birthday of local quintuplets.

Two years ago, Shi Youqin, a 25-year-old, gave birth to three daughters and two sons.

Early on the quintuplets suffered from malnutrition because Shi and her husband were too poor to raise them properly.

But people from all walks of life have donated money to support them and the quins are now thriving.

The parents expressed their heartfelt thanks to all those who helped at the party last Sunday.
