Man escapes kidnapper by getting him loaded

A man in Xi'an, capital of Shaanxi province, escaped his kidnapper by plying him with alcohol and getting him drunk.

Gao, a general manager of a company in the city, was kidnapped last Thursday by three people who demanded Gao's wife pay a 420,000-yuan (61,300) ransom.

Police seized a suspect who came to collect the money from Gao's wife the next afternoon and arrested another kidnapper later that day.

Gao then called his wife after getting a third kidnapper drunk and escaping the farm house in which he was being held hostage.

Police are still searching for the third kidnapper.
