Screws in drink scare KFC patrons

Three customers were shocked to discover 10 screws in their drink purchased in a Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant in downtown Beijing last Wednesday.

They showed the screws to the manager, surnamed Tang, and asked for a written apology out of fear that they might have swallowed some screws. The manager refused.

They were told the screws came from a machine that workers had repaired earlier.

She offered refunds to them instead of the written statement they requested.
