False alarm sends police on wild chase
(China Daily)
Updated: 2009-02-26 07:43 Police officers were puzzled after they chased a taxi they mistakenly thought was hijacked in Zhengzhou, capital of Henan province, on Sunday. A man surnamed Sun accidentally pressed the cab's alarm, and attracted four groups of police officers at about 2 am. When he saw the police, he sped up because he was driving his brother's taxi without a taxi license. Police thought he was being robbed or got hijacked. He eventually fled the car and ran into a crossroad. (Dahe News) |
