Students draft penalties for classroom violations
(China Daily)
Updated: 2009-02-26 07:43 Students at a middle school in Chongqing municipality must behave in class or pay up. Students decided to penalize anyone who uses bad words and the fine is 1 yuan (15 cents) per offense. According to a teacher at Xiushan Middle School, students drafted most of the rules, and other rules include a 1-yuan penalty for not handing in homework and a 5 yuan fine for being absent. All cash will be donated to a charity. The rules seem to be working as just one student was fined 2 yuan during the previous term. (Chongqing Times) |
