Hong Kong official to visit Singapore

Updated: 2009-03-02 21:24 HONG KONG -- Hong Kong Secretary for Development Carrie Lam will visit Singapore on March 4-7 to exchange views with officials on urban redevelopment, waterfront planning and heritage conservation, a government press release said Monday. According to the press release from the Information Services Department of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government, Lam will call on the Ministry of National Development and meet Urban Redevelopment Authority officials. She will later meet Chinese Ambassador to Singapore Zhang Xiaokang. She will tour historic buildings and places, including Far East Square, Tanjong Rhu and Marina Bay, the National Museum and the former Asia Insurance Building to learn how these places have been preserved and revitalized. Lam will return to Hong Kong on March 7, the press release said. |
