Chinese state councilor to visit Vietnam

Updated: 2009-03-12 20:16 BEIJING -- Chinese State Councilor Dai Bingguo will pay an official visit to Vietnam from March 18 to 21 at the invitation of Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Gia Khiem. Foreign Ministry spokesman Ma Zhaoxu told a regular press conference here Thursday that Dai and Khiem will co-chair the third meeting of a guiding committee for Sino-Vietnamese cooperation during the visit. The two countries will also exchange views on promoting Sino-Vietnamese relations, deepening reciprocal cooperation, as well as international and regional issues of common concern, Ma said. "I believe this visit will inject new impetus for the development of bilateral relations," he added. |
