Firefighters help pregnant woman remove bracelets

A pregnant woman had to ask the fire department to use special equipment to remove a bracelet from her hand before she delivered her baby.

The woman surnamed Wei from Nanning, capital of the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, was unable to remove the jewelry from her hand because it has been swollen during her pregnancy.

Firefighters used a special scissors to cut apart the jade bracelet.

Wei, 29, went to the fire department after doctors told her they couldn't remove it. They told her to remove it before she delivered the baby.
