Members of a family in Xuzhou, Jiangsu province, were shocked to learn that they've been visiting the wrong grave site for more than two years due to an error by the cemetery's management office.

The family, surnamed Shi, entrusted the cemetery's management office to bury their mother in April 2006 and had been visiting ever since.

In February, they found the toombstone was moved.

The management office admitted they moved it and told them they moved the stone to the right grave.

The family then sued the cemetery for compensation. A court ordered the cemetery to pay 96,335 yuan (US$1,4167) in compensation.
