11 killed in SW China plant collapse

CHONGQING - A chemical plant collapse killed 11 workers Monday in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality, local authorities said.

The accident occurred at about 4 p.m. in Jianfeng chemical factory when the ceiling of a plant collapsed, burying workers there, said Tang Zongwei, government head of the Fuling District.

Eleven bodies of the workers had been recovered as of 6 p.m. and another one was still buried, he said.
