10 killed, 15 injured in factory roof collapse

SHIJIAZHUANG -- At least 10 people were killed and 15 others were injured after the roof of a clothing factory collapsed in north China's Hebei Province Friday, the local authorities said.

The whole roof of a workshop of the Jinbo Clothing Factory in Anci District of Langfang City collapsed at about 7:40 am, according to the provincial emergency affairs office.

At least 39 people were buried in the debris, according to the provincial work safety supervision administration.

The 15 injured, including eight seriously wounded persons, were hospitalized.

More than 500 rescuers and 100 fire engines and ambulances participated in the search operation.
