Muddy river forces woman to rethink suicide

A woman changed her mind about committing suicide in a river after she was trapped in waist-deep mud.

After quarreling with her husband, the 30-something woman leapt off a bridge in Zhangzhou city, Fujian province, last Monday morning.

She fell into thick mud and as she sank, she changed her mind about succumbing to a slow death. She used her mobile phone to call firefighters who rescued her.
