Updated: 2009-05-19 14:58 BEIJING-- Beijing's first confirmed A(H1N1) flu patient is in a stable condition, and will be discharged from hospital this weekend, the municipal health bureau announced Tuesday.
Her doctor told Xinhua that Tuesday would be the seventh day since Liu became ill, her temperature had been normal for three days, and all test results were normal, but she still complained of a dry throat. "If her temperature remains normal in the next three days, she will be discharged," said the doctor, who would not give his name. He would not specify Saturday or Sunday. Premier Wen Jiabao visited Liu in hospital on Sunday. Wen said overseas students in areas affected by A(H1N1) should learn to better protect themselves and understand the prevention and control measures in China. Beijing health officials on Saturday expressed their appreciation for the fact that Liu kept a clear diary about her journey in Beijing, making the tracing of close contacts much quicker. |
