New A(H1N1) flu case reported in Fujian

Updated: 2009-05-30 16:07 FUZHOU - The health authorities of east China's Fujian Province reported a new suspected A(H1N1) influenza case Saturday. The case involved a 23-year-old Chinese man, who had studied in Canada.
On Friday morning, the man developed headache and a sore throat and went to a local hospital. On Friday night, the man was tested positive for A(H1N1) flu by the municipal Center of Disease Control and Prevention of Quanzhou. The provincial Center of Disease Control and Prevention reexamined Saturday morning the results which was also positive. According to the provincial health authorities of Fujian, the man is still suffering from a cough, headache, sore throat and fatigue. As of Friday afternoon, the mainland had 21 confirmed A(H1N1) flu cases. |
