Suspect in double murder caught eight years later

A man who killed his wife and father-in-law eight years ago, and then tried to threaten police, was arrested on Monday in Chongqing municipality.

Surnamed Deng, 40, the man killed his wife who wanted to divorce him and then killed his father-in-law who showed up at his house just after he killed his wife on Feb 4, 2001.

After he fled, Deng learned that police was in charge of his house and called them to say he would kill some officers if they sold his house.

Police arrested him on Monday.
