Three killed in passenger train collision in central China

Changsha -- Two passenger trains collided in central China Monday morning, leaving at least three people dead and 60 injured.

The accident took place at 2:34 am at Chenzhou railway station in Hunan province, according to local railway company sources.

A train going from Changsha to Shenzhen collided with another train from Tongren to Shenzhen, causing several cars to derail, according to the sources.

Liu Zhijun, minister of railway, has gone to Chenzhou, 300 kilometers from Changsha, capital of Hunan province, to oversee the rescue work.
