Man begs for wife's release after she stabs him

A man who was stabbed by his wife begged the cops to release her after she was detained on charges of attempt to murder last week.

Jia Xingming's wife, suspecting her husband of infidelity, stabbed him on Thursday after a heated exchange in their Guangshui, Hubei province, home.

Jia gained consciousness in the hospital only to realize cops had detained his wife.

"I have only myself to blame," he told police, begging them to free his wife.

Jia's wife was later released on bail.
