Drunk driver sleeps off while waiting at red light

A man driving under the influence of alcohol slept off at a traffic signal in Xi'an, Shaanxi province, on Sunday.

It took traffic police 20 minutes to wake the man, who asked not to be touched before dozing off again.

Cops sent the man to a hospital where doctors detected 212 mg of alcohol in his blood, 2.5 times more than the permitted level.

He was arrested.
