10 Beijing parks to organize celebration activities

Ten popular parks in Beijing such as the Temple of Heaven, the Olympic Park, Beihai Park and Yuyuantan Park will hold free activities to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the Beijing News reported Friday.

Among them, Yuyuantan Park in western Beijing, which is famous for its Spring cherry blossoms, will hold three activities during the holiday, including a clothing exhibition, dance performances, and traditional sports competitions such as shuttlecock kicking.
