First-aid course held for Sichuan teachers

A training class to enhance accident prevention and first-aid skills of teachers from quake-hit area in Sichuan province kicked off on Aug 17 in Beijing. The five-day course, initiated by China Children and Teenagers' Fund and Beijing Tsinghua Urban Planning & Design Institute, involved 52 teachers and headmasters from Sichuan and representatives from communities there.

They will attend lectures given by some senior experts and officials in disaster relief, city planning, public security, fire control and other areas.
