Woman, 45, wants to marry rich garbage collector, 74

A 45-year-old woman from Xi'an, Shaanxi province, has expressed a desire to meet Lou Zhihe, 74, a homeless garbage collector, who recently discovered he had some 200,000 yuan ($29,283) in unclaimed pension and an apartment he was unaware of.

Liu, a small-time businesswoman in the city, has raised her son and daughter all by herself after her husband died in 1991.

Local media recently reported the rags-to-riches tale of Lou, who was spotted wandering the streets by police officers, who later found out he had not claimed his pension since 1995. Lou, who retired from a factory in Shanghai in 1985, could not remember his own name.

Liu said she wanted to start a family with the 74-year-old man.
