China expects to work with Japan's new government
(Xinhua)
Updated: 2009-09-15 19:07 BEIJING: China is ready to work with Japan's new government to push forward bilateral ties, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu said Tuesday.
Jiang's comment came one day before Democratic Party of Japan (DPJ) leader Yukio Hatoyama would take over the leadership after the DPJ won the August 30 general election, ousting the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP). During a meeting with a Japanese business delegation last week in Beijing, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao praised the DPJ's attitude toward its ties with China and said there would be stronger cooperation with Japan's new Cabinet. |
