Initial investigation showed the gang had made more than 20 explosive devices in three places in the suburbs of Aksu after the July 5 riot, and planned to carry out terrorist attacks, the police said. The riot in the regional capital Urumqi killed nearly 200 people, mostly ethnic Han. |
