China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) has set up the second review sub-committee for mergers and acquisitions (M&As) between listed companies, China Business News reported Tuesday.

From 2006 to the first half of this year, a total of 123 listed companies have completed M&As, with a total trading volume of 833.4 billion yuan ($122.04 billion), the report said.

The net profits, total income and total assets of the listed companies increased by averages of 100 to 300 percent after the M&As.

The CSRC set up the first of its sub-committees in 2007.
