China offers emergcency aids to Indonesia

Updated: 2009-10-02 11:52 BEIJING: Chinese government offered the emergency aids of $500,000 cash to Indonesian government, according to a press release from the Chinese foreign ministry on Friday.
A 7.6-magnitude earthquake hit West Sumatra province Wednesday morning. The death toll caused by the powerful earthquake has risen to 1,100. Chinese President Hu Jintao sent a message of condolences to his Indonesian counterpart Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono soon after the earthquake occurred. |
