Parade soldiers start to retreat from drill camps

Updated: 2009-10-06 10:25 BEIJING: Ground forces that participated in the massive military parade on the 60th founding anniversary of New China started Monday to leave their drill camps on the outskirts of Beijing.
The soldiers were selected from the headquarters of the People's Liberation Army (PLA), the PLA's Second Artillery Force, armed police units and four military areas command of Beijing, Ji'nan, Nanjing and Guangzhou. The camps, which were set up to train the marchers at two suburb airports, will be removed after the soldiers' departure. The warplanes that participated in the military parade on October 1 have already retreated to their own bases by Saturday, according to the commanding center. |
