11 stand trial over factory brawl in south China

Updated: 2009-10-09 19:57 GUANGZHOU: Eleven people involved in a toy factory brawl on June 26 that left two employees dead in south China's Guangdong Province stood trial for suspected intentional injury and group affray, said local authorities on Friday. The cases were heard in the Shaoguan Intermediate People's Court and the Wujiang District People's Court.
Lu Xiaoqiang and another five allegedly participated in group affray, said the Wujiang District People's Procuratorate of Shaoguan. Some of the suspects had disagreement with the procuratorates. Result of the trials will be known soon, but the exact date was unknown. More than 100 people, including relatives of the defendants and the victims, representatives from the factory and media staff, heard the trials. |
