5-year-old's quick thinking saves mom's life

A 5-year-old son rescued his distressed mother in Guangzhou's Panyu district, Guangdong province, after she threatened suicide following a quarrel with her husband.

The son immediately phoned his father after the woman locked herself in her bedroom with a kitchen knife.

His father then phoned the police.

The woman was rescued after police arrived to her home and broke into her bedroom.
