Housing prices, sales jump in Beijing, Shanghai

Updated: 2009-10-20 16:19 Housing prices and sales in Beijing and Shanghai were higher from Oct 12 to 18, the first week after the 8-day National Day holiday, the National Business Today reported today.
In Shanghai, 439,200 sq m of commercial apartments were sold from Oct 12 to 18, up 19 percent than the week before, 339,200 sq m of them for residential purposes, up 15 percent. The average price was 16,628 yuan ($2,435.5) per sq m, the highest weekly price as of the beginning of September, according to the CRIC data system of E-House (China) Holdings Limited, a leading real estate services company in China. |
