DPRK air force delegation arrives in Beijing

Updated: 2009-11-03 21:24 BEIJING: A Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) air force delegation arrived in Beijing Tuesday to attend an international forum to mark the 60th founding anniversary of the air force of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA).
Air force leaders from 23 countries are expected to speak at the forum, which aimed to promote exchanges between air forces and to build mutual trust, Xin said. China will celebrate the 60th founding anniversary of its air force on November 11. The PLA air force is expected to put its most advanced warplanes on display in the suburbs of Beijing as part of the celebrations. All the aircraft to be exhibited, including Kongjing-2000 Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEWC) aircraft, J-11 fighters, H-6 bomber jets, and HQ-9 surface-to-air missiles, were made in China. |
