House collapse kills 3, injures 2 in S China city

NANNING: Three people were confirmed dead and another two slightly injured after an old house collapsed Sunday afternoon in Liuzhou city of southern China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, local government said on Monday morning.

The accident happened at around 1:10 pm Sunday when an old house was being dismantled at the employee dormitory of Liuzhou Switch Factory, killing three people and injured another two.

At around 5:00 pm, bodies of the three dead have been retrieved. The two injured were sent to local hospital, and one of them was discharged later.

Cause of the accident is under investigation.
