A 73-year-old woman was revived half an hour after her heart stopped beating during an electrocardiogram test in Changsha, Hunan province, last Wednesday.
A coronary heart patient, the woman's heart stopped beating unexpectedly during a physical examination, according to doctors.
Doctors said it was rare for a person to come back to life after 30 minutes.
"Usually, if a person cannot be revived within six minutes, they die," a doctor said.
