Man gets 3 years for kidnapping mother-in-law

A court in Xingxian county, Shanxi province, sentenced a man to three years in prison for kidnapping his mother-in-law in May.
Following a quarrel, the man's wife left home in February.
After all efforts to find his wife failed, he barged into his mother-in-law's house and took her to a cave, trying to force her to reveal where her daughter was.
On the advice of his parents, the accused freed the hostage and surrendered to the police later that day.
