Experts and scholars gathered in Huzhou, Zhejiang Province, on November 6 for an Expo-themed forum, in which they discussed the building of an eco-friendly and livable city and energy-saving measures.
Ma Yi, mayor of Huzhou, summed up Huzhou's practice in pursuit of a green and livable city and the bottleneck it encountered as well as its expectations for future development.
Huang Yaocheng, counselor for national participation with the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination, elaborated on the latest progress of Expo 2010. Huzhou has won several awards in world expositions for its silk products, including a gold award in the first Expo in London in 1851.
