Experts and scholars on January 6 gathered in Taiyuan, capital of Shanxi Province, to explore the topic of "cultural relics preservation and urban and rural sustainable development" in an Expo-themed forum.
Cliff Hague, Secretary General of the Commonwealth Association of Planners, talked about how to tackle economic, social, cultural and environmental issues involved in historical and cultural heritage protection.
United States professor in urban design and planning, Daniel B. Abramson, shared his vision about the development of agricultural tourism, deemed as an ideal measure to integrate sustainable growth and heritage preservation.
The forum was the 22nd of its kind as Expo forums are being held nationwide.
